double television

some friends and i sometimes enjoy watching two tapes at once with the sound muted on one. here is a photo of sophie's choice and bring it on playing at the same time.

note the parallel narrative structure (having sex=============thinking about sex while brushing teeth) that has been created by pure chance of the two tapes aligning.

is this entropic alignment the only worth you can draw from this? in what other ways can you harvest this medium? idk

wow. another interesting thing may be muting one movie and having people guess which movie is talking. or imagining the people in the other movie saying the things that are happening in the non-muted movie.

sounds like a fun game.

This kind of simultaneity experiment interests me. Exchanged sources, exchanged outcomes

--an ordering framework system replaced with another that could be patched out of multiple segments from various sources.

Audio, video, digital quilting.

So Limited Fork!

--and not just chance interactions but also a chance of interaction, that interaction occurs at all excites/activates the fork.
